Thumbs up Well, they didn't teach me this in Home Ec.

I turned my ironing board around so that the narrow end is on my right (I''m right handed). It gives me more surface to iron large pieces of fabric.

Well - they didn't teach me that either, and it's such a logical decision, I'm jealous you thought about it first!!

Isn't it amazing how a simple little trick makes life so much easier?

Please be careful ... the balance of the board can be affected, and easier for your iron to tumble on you.

I solved the narrow end problem by screwing a piece of plywood on top of my ironing board ... extended the length and the width, so that now I have a nice big ironing board. And when PPing, it gives me a nice work station for trimming at the end of the board.

I put the irons on the skinny end of the guild boards and it was funny to see some of the members looking confused.
