No one is on those others really
I've found that to be the case as well. I check the others occasionally but this board is where I mostly hang out. It's where I get my quilt-talk fix for the day.

I belong to several quilt forums and I must say I enjoy this one the most. There are good things about the others but here feels more like home.

I did the same thing. I don't post often, but I am "peeking" constantly. I look at the posted pictures at the beginning of the day. It's like breakfast and coffee for me!

You are absolutely correct! :D
I strongly don't agree. When you post a question on a forum or board and noone answers you or aknowledges you then I do not think it is a matter of being differant but of being a not so terrific message board.
I have seen some that are not well attended- none on it for days or weeks and that does not speak well of that forum.
I am not saying there are not good ones out there but if you can't talk to anyone on it is not any good to me.
I had gotten the same lack of interest on every one I had looked at before I found this one. The first thing I looked for here was how long ago had anyone posted anything on it. If it is more than a day or two or a week at the most then I wasn't interested.

And for the record I have been quilting for 30 years I am not a beginner and I know some of you like Izy are experienced quilters as well.

Yes everyone has differant needs but to generalize those needs leaves some of us out of your equation.
No intention to offend anyone but in my opinion I get more of my quilting needs of companionship and quilt talk and ideas from here than anywhere else I have been online or off.
Because we have a large diversity of skill levels and personalities there is something for everyone not just one type of quilting or a narrow view of what quilting should be. And there is rarely a negative comment made here. This is not intended to be negative just my opinion!

That is what makes this "Better " than most (you notice I said MOST) boards that are out there. I will allow that there are probably good ones out there but I have not seen them.

I enjoy all of you and listening to your lives!! Thanks for letting me rant!! Rhonda

I used to be on one that never would answer your questions and they rarely talked about quilting, more about family and dates and personal stuff. I am so glad I found this site and it will be forever my favorite.

I like the diversity on this board, and being able to get answers to my requests! People here are sew helpful, friendly, and giving. It meets my needs and I will be here until it no longer does that, OR my computer self destructs! :?

So, if anyone out there is looking to find a forum-this one is the best, don't go anywhere else!! :D
Unfortunately I did not find this one first. But I feel like the old saying "I saved the best for last". This is a friendly and (what I really need) non-judgemental board. Very encouraging to all and that means a lot. I don't have too much to offer but I do jump in when I think what I have to say might help someone and I appreciate everyone being so helpful when I ask a question. They answer in a very caring manner. Dixie in Alabama

I'm SO GLAD I found this board. I lurked for a very short time before jumping in with both feet, because I realized that everyone was friendly and helping each other. When someone asks a question, no one blows them off. That's why I feel free to express myself - knowing that even if someone has a different approach, they won't YELL at me - they'll just give their own advice in addition to mine. And when I have a question I know others will take it seriously.

And I LOVE THE LIVE CHATS!!!
