During the 70s energy crisis there were things called Snug Sacks. They were just quilts that had snaps all along the edges. I made them for all of us since I kept the house pretty chilly. They were better than Snuggies because your back didn't get cold when you got up. And they could be used as a cover if you wanted to. I made one for my DIL last Christmas and she loves it. The smaps are placed so that it came over the shoulder and made sleeves. I may have to make me a new one.!!

It seems like a saw one in the Simplicity pattern book in the craft section. It may have been included in a pattern with other walker or wheelchair accessories. The nice part it didn't hang down. - just was like a little cape. There's no reason it couldn't be patchwork and quilted as long it was done with soft batting like flannel and not overquilted. I'd like one for me.

What about after the holidays we make this a project? Make yourself one and send in pictures. No contest but just to see all the different ones we come up with. Mmmmm...just an idea. :roll:
