Default What Block Design is This?

Can anyone identify this quilt block? I bought some fabric today (guy colors) and would love to make it for a friend but I can't find it anywhere. I know it's all half square triangles and I could make them 5" with my Accuquilt.

Don't know the name of it, but it could be made by doing a 9 patch with HS triangles at the corners. Have you looked at quilters cache? It might be there, although I guess you still need a name. Someone will come along that knows the name.

Its just the center part of an English Wedding ring... i have seen the center part done alone just like what you are doing. Drafting is pretty easy and you have already done it lol. http://comfortstitching.typepad.co.u...ding-ring.html

If you're making it for a guy, just call it lug nuts and he will be happy.

That is too funny Dunster. You had me laughing out loud.

I looked up the block and I think it is a Shoo Fly block but with the coloring a bit different http://www.quilterscache.com/S/ShooFlyBlock.html

A nine patch turned into a snowball. Easy to reproduce.

I have heard it referred to as Chinese Coins. But I like Lug Nuts better!
