I bought this beautiful seahorse fabric and a solid teal fabric to go with it and wish to make a 2 color quilt maybe even a sampler quilt? my question is I want to fussy cut the seahorse fabric to get the best parts out of the fabric but only know of one block (the square in a square) that works well with fussy cutting do you know of any blocks that would work with this or should I just look for 2 color blocks in general? I just really want to be able to see the seahorses somewhere in each block thanks for thinking about it

I would do a "snowball" block using the fussy cut seahorses, then alternate that with a "9 patch" block using colors from the seahorse fabric.

That is gorgeous fabric! Where did you get it from please? (I'd be too afraid to cut it up, so don't tell me how to get it. :-))

Maybe fussy cut the seahorses. Then cut up both fabrics into squares and piece them together. Then applique the seahorses onto the top and borders?

Or fussy cut some of the seahorses, make a hunters star top, and use the seahorses appliques in the border.:D:D:D

Make a Log Cabin Block, with a big square center featuring a Seahorse. You will only need two strips around (8 pieces) to make it the size you want. If you have a small square with a really little Seahorse, you may need 3 strips around (12 pieces).

That is gorgeous fabric! I love it! How about an attic window? You could fussy cut the sea horses and put them in the attic window.
