Yes, My Husqvarna SE cuts...has a sensor foot that lifts when you take your foot off the pedal also...Love it because it makes applique stitching so easy when you need to pivot.

My Bernina 730E has it, but I don't use it. It leaves a tail about three quarters of an inch long. Not enough to darn in, and too long to leave if you are quilting, though the feature would be OK when piecing, I suppose.

You should not have toi do this. If you cut the thread and start to sew the next peice it should just be there. Have you tried it?

Me, too. Brother 1500S - no fancy stitches, but it has a thread cutter.

Kaye Wood has been in partnership with Janome for a long time. She uses their machines, they sponsor giveaways of Janomes at her seminars, they sponsor her quilting cruises, etc.
