I've seen several quilts where the piecing was a background for an appliquéd silhouette such as a cat or giraffe. Could you appliqué on a long thin object, such as a sunflower with a long stem that covers the offending strip?

Your colors and craftsmanship is spot on! Do nothing! Enter in the quilt show and name it Imperfections! Then It will appear intentional and give a messageIt is to pretty to cover up!

I've found the best way to fix quilt oh nos is to just say My goodness, what a dumb thing to do. I'll do better next time. Remember it is a quilt. I love looking at my quilting flubs now, makes me laugh even though I wasn't laughing when I noticed them.

Name it "A Rift in Time" and treat it as deliberate.

If you wanted some thing to look like it was suppose to be there..u could make giant sun flowers..just a couple..like they were lay there..the yellow would go nice with the Brown..u could make the stems a dark green ..it would all blend..there is a pattern..Autumn's Arrival..by Barbara Persing. And Mary Hoover..that has them on top of a patch work back ground..that will show u what I mean ..If interested..

Very pretty, less the mistake. I hope it is a fairly easy fix. Lots of suggestions here.

It is still a beautiful quilt as is. I am not familiar with showing quilts, so I don't know if the applique would pass for a show or not. The thing is, most handmade objects are not perfect, just as we are not perfect. For me that is what makes them so special. Bo proud of your work and accept that it was made with passion and love and let it be. You did an awesome job!

It's very nice as is and agree with the others to name it something that sounds like the design is intentional.
