I am not very good at putting colors together but so far my bargello is shaded of browns and teals, but I still need a 3rd color to work with...any suggestions?

I'd probably put orange in there. Brown is actually a shade of red/orange and the orange will vibrate off the teal.

Wow that is good to know....I never knew that. :) I am still learning about colors. I really should get a book or something to help me coordinate better with my quilting. :)

You can use the selvage and pick a color that is in your fabric from the colored dots or squares.

Some reds will also play nicely with those colors. I made a quilt out of teals and browns and it had some red accent in it. Here is a link to the picture. It's on page 3

Cream would also work if you want to keep it just those two main colors!

I am not sure about the red/pink/coral color... so I dont know if I should try some other shades or order it. Penny for your thoughts?

I would use coral for an accent color.

I still think as I wrote on your other posting that your colors were good to go, if anything lose maybe one of the lightest peach and the lightest teals everything else is a lovely range.

I love shades of cream and lime green... love that pile shown! A touch of raspberry works well too.. if you want it mostly teal/brown then keep the other colors as accents

    what pattern are you doing?

I would suggest getting a colour wheel. It helped me alot. You can usually pick up one at Michaels or art supply stores.

I made a tote bag for my sister with teal, chocolate brown and purple. Came out great!
