Default Martha Washington Sewing Cabinet

There is another thread that was started that is about what we all want for the Holidays. Quite a few mentioned a Martha Washington Sewing Cabinet. I bought this one years ago at a yard sale for $20. I didn't know that they had a name for it. If you have one, what sewing items do you put in it? It has two deep side cupboards and things tend to get lost in it. Mine has a decoration on the front as you can see in the picture. I would love to see pictures of others that belong to other people on this board and hear what you put in them.

You could store rotary cutting or machine quilting rulers in the large section. Might also be able to store quilt batts?

I always thought the deep end pockets were a perfect place to put ones knitting!

Beautiful cabinets, I have two, they were gifted to me by deceased relatives, One came with a lot of trinkets inside, the other had a few items in it, I only have put in the one some sewing supplies. Love them both

$20. Wow, that’s a great find. Haven’t put anything in mine yet. It’s for Christmas so technically I can’t play with it yet. You could put anything in it. I was thinking it would be a great place to put my knitting needles (I have a bunch), patterns, beads and those side storage bins looks like a place for yarn. My knitting stuff is all spread out. This will keep it in one place.

I have one I bought for $15 this fall. It's painted black with gold stenciling on the top and drawer fronts.

I just purchased 1 today at the Humane Society. Pricier that what you have paid but the money is for the animals so it's OK.
Mine is also a Christmas gift to myself & I do have some cross stitch supplies to put in it.

I bought one for myself over the summer months and it needs a touch of tender loving refinishing. It was purchased as a place for my bobbins of counted cross stitch threads, patterns, needles etc. I've already used up the top two drawers for threads,, the bottom drawer for embroidery hoops and such. One top end flap holds my cross stitch booklets and the other holds my rolls of cross stitch fabric. I'm already out of room. I may have to look for something bigger, but will still keep my Martha Washington.
