I drug out a UFO last night and got 3 rows put together on it when I saw I was running out of white 2 1/2 inch blocks. I went into my sewing room and my blocks were GONE! My DH used them in one of his quilts. All of the other blocks I have are a different shade of white. Any suggestions as to what to do? I was using the white blocks as a sort of sashing to seperate some 25 patch blocks as a way to use up some of my smaller scraps. I hate to tear them out and start over with a different color. Help!!!

I would fall over dead if my DH would even walk in my quilt room. I know it puts you in a bind but I wish my husband would share my interest. I think I would try to find a white as close as possible and continue on with my quilt. Best of luck in your search!

I don't know what to do about this one but next time I'd mark my blocks. Put them in a bag or a box and write the name of the quilt that they're intended for on the outside.

Could you maybe use a fabric just a shade darker for the next three rows, then another a little darker for the next three and so on until you get to the end so that it's a shade change effect? It might turn out really cool. Or go a little darker each row until your reach the last three and have them all the same dark shade.

Is it a white still available? Maybe one of us has some & can help you out. Do you know the line/designer/mfg??

is he like passive-aggressive?
Do you normally cut his quilt blocks for him and that's why he assumed that he could take those? If so, you may not have a complaint.... If not, you have another problem...

 8-)

Make 3 rows of another color sashing, then 3 rows of another color sashing and so on. Make it look like it was planned, perhaps go from white to a pastel to a darker color and so on.

I thought you were going to say he used the scraps for cleaning his gun or something! LOL Go steal some of his and see if he does it again! My hubby just ignores my mess!

If my DH EVER used fabric from my craft room, it would be to wipe up oil in the garage!! LOL I think your DH owes you a trip to the quilt stores!!! :D

I'm so glad my husband has no interest in sewing or quilting. If he did, I'm afraid he wouldn't be alive much longer.
