I save my misc. HST's. I usually make pinwheels to add to a scrappy quilt. Maybe do a row quilt-? Scrappy baskets are good too~ Lots of ideas out there!
Loretta- your top is very pretty!

I save all of my leftover blocks in a plastic tub. When it's full, I'll see what I have to work it into a scrappy quilt top!

I try to incorperate into the border of the quilt , since they already have coordinated fabrics.

OMG!!! That's it! The Carpenter's Star is on my bucket list! This would be perfect! Do you have a particular pattern that you can recommend?

This is absolutely PERFECT!!! The Carpenter's Star has been on my bucket list!

This is what I LOVE about this board! I knew someone would shout out a suggestion that would be perfect!

I found a free pattern on this board: http://www.quiltingboard.com/links-r...e-t122357.html

I've already printed it out! All of my HST's are color/cream, so I will have to make a few more that are color/color...but it should use up 38 or so of the 44 HST's I already have!

Thanks so much to everyone for your suggestions!

I'd really like to see a picture of your scrappy Carpenter's Star!
