:D About those medicine bottles: Check with your vet, I live in Chippewa Falls WI, my vet is in Bloomer, and I recycle medicine bottles for her to use for the animal prescriptions. Of course they sterilize them before reusing them. Going GREEN (Bloomer is a rural town in Chippewa County) Good luck, there is a re-use for everything!

Our kittens LOVE batting them around. To a kitten, EVERYTHING is a toy. Give them to a friend who has cats.

I save the pill bottles for my vet, also.
And I also use an old vitamin bottle for broken and bent needles so no one will get poked with old needles when I finally throw the bottle away.

Our college runs a daycare, so we keep all of them from the sewing room and give to them. They build things with them we hear.

Sewmom, I love your lamp! And the shade!!! What a great idea.

Re: the empty spools. You could string them and hang them on the outside trees for the holidays. If you glue a piece of fabric on them (where the thread used to be) they'd make very colorful ornaments. Or throw them out.....
