I sometimes use them as leaders. They're too short for much else (2"±) so I usually just toss them.

I also use them for pot holders or other small projects. I never toss them unless they are really small pieces.

Same here. I always do 2 1/4 bias bindings, so trying to use them for scrap squares would have the wrong grain. I just save them up, and eventually sew all the different colors together to make a scrap binding for a kids quilt.

I save it and use it on my scrappy quilts of which I do many. Anything less than 4 inches, I toss. But that is my rule and does not have to be yours. Most of my scrap binding is in the 8 to 15 inch length category so I just use it as it is.

I have a lot of scrap bindings too, I am going to make a quilt top out of them in strips. I seen the idea somewhere and thought why couldn't I do this and use up those left over bindings. I am not good at measuring things so I do a guessamation on how much I need for bindings. Always have leftover. So will let you know if it works.

Make scrappy bindings on your scrappy quilts. They look cute. Here are a couple of mine you can see:

and here is one where I chose only blue bindings, but still scrappy:

I sew the leftovers together for binding to be used with my scrappy charity quilts.

Justflyingin, I love your quilts, especially the one with the red sashing. What is the name of that pattern? Thanks, Gina

I always use bias binding cut at 2.5 inches, so toss mine in a drawer to be used on scrap, utility quilts.

Every once in awhile, will make scrappy binding for a quilt, and will use some of it that way. If you wanted, you could trim the strips down to 2"...they were called Noodles back when Debbie Caffrey wrote her book Noodle Soup...they can be used like Jelly Roll strips.
