I have my tv on, mostly because my caller id will come onscreen so I can see who's calling (and if it's worth stopping and answering the phone! LOL) and, especially this time of year, for weather watches which also come up on-screen. I don't usually have it on any channel where's there's something I care to really watch, it just becomes background noise.

I listen to Classic Country music on local radio station and occasionally, when up to press, do a few rounds of two-stepping, keeps the blood moving, doncha know.

Silence or talk radio, although I don't always hear, even when the radio is on.

NPR particulary week-ends when I get a span of time to devote to quilting. Second choice is listening to books on CD. When working and listening I forget where I am and discover that it is long past meal time and I am not hungry or it is long past bed time and I am not sleepy.
