Talk Radio, I am so addicted. My favorite is Mark Levin. But he comes on late in the afternoon. Second favorite is Rush Limbaugh, and 3rd favorite is Glenn Beck. They keep me up on what is going on in the world.

I do like to watch TV when piecing. My favorite is the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice. But HGTV will work in a pinch. :-)

And I can't believe Dr. Laura is still on!! Our network dumped her the day after 9/11 happened and she hasn't been back since :D
You all gave me some great ideas THANKS!! :D
Yeah, Librivox is great and FREE!!!!!!!!
I have a subscription to Audible but not sure if it's worth the fee every month. We'll see........ I did get some of my all time fav audiobooks so that's good.
The Yankees supercede everything for me though when they play day games. I get them on my laptop and bring it up to my sewing room
Can you download audio books from your library onto the computer or an MP3 player? That is what I do and it is free once you have the MP3 player and they aren't expensive anymore. I have always gotten a good price on ebay.

I listen to audio books. Right now I am listening to "Clan of the Cave Bear" by Jean Auel. There are 4 or 5 in the series. Each book has between 24 and 28 cds. I have read all the books twice and listend to them once. I am listening to them again because the final book is coming out March 2011. It has been MANY years since the last one was released.

Thanks for the url Amandasgramma. Quilting this evening so I'll check out the www.radiolovers.com Otherwise I pretty much run some old time movies, or favorite DVDs, or talk radio, or books on tape - Mysteries, mostly. Sometimes just music. Any music from Blue Grass to Rock to Classical. Depends on my mood. If quilting with someone else, we chit-chat over a silent background.

I love rock and roll -mostly 70's but since my taste in music is as varied as my taste in quilts, I find sometimes country or classical suits me. Can't stand talk radio - anywhere anytime - guess I don't like anyone competing with me talking! HA. Sometimes I sew without any sound on but the sound or my dog snoring or my cat meowing!
