Nothing!! It is MY time to myself for peace and quiet which is why I enjoy my sewing so much. I do love hearing the birds outside. I still work full time, take care of elderly parents and so this is my break!

My husband has introduced me to Pandora internet radio. I've set up stations of music for all types of genre's (sp). Usually ambient in the mornings, folk/indie in the afternoons, occassional 40's through 90's. If I'm in a grumpy mood I have my "All Metal Boy Bands" (he he he).
Its an awesome internet service.

Very diverse tastes in this household!

But of course the best was "the voices in my head" hahahahaha
And I can't believe Dr. Laura is still on!! Our network dumped her the day after 9/11 happened and she hasn't been back since :D
You all gave me some great ideas THANKS!! :D
Yeah, Librivox is great and FREE!!!!!!!!
I have a subscription to Audible but not sure if it's worth the fee every month. We'll see........ I did get some of my all time fav audiobooks so that's good.
The Yankees supercede everything for me though when they play day games. I get them on my laptop and bring it up to my sewing room
Can you download audio books from your library onto the computer or an MP3 player? That is what I do and it is free once you have the MP3 player and they aren't expensive anymore. I have always gotten a good price on ebay.
MI, yes I can. It's just like borrowing a book but the good part is after the 28 days they just delete the title from my library card. I put them on my Ipod..
Awesome!

Oh NHSOMND,
Many thanks for Pandora Radio. I'm like a kid in a candy store.

Tapping my foot to George Strait right this second.

when DH is home I try not to listen....(to his tv shows, lol!)
When I am home alone, I listen to mostly today's country music, some pop, soft rock :-D
Once in a while I will watch a comedy while sewing. I tend to associate the feeling I have while making a quilt with the finished product. I'd rather be laughing or singing ;-)

So funny, Lots2do! That is my response. I listen to my thoughts more often than the radio.
LOL...someone once asked me in chat, where I was, after I hadn't said anything for several minutes...
my reply: "in my own little world." -
