How about some mug rugs in a vineyard pattern to go with our healthful glasses of red wine? I have seen some very cute
fabrics out there.

Someone should start a mug rug swap, wouldn't that be a fun one.

January 2011? I bet if you contacted your former swap partners you could set up your own mini swap. Or just surprise them with a treat. Valentines are always nice.

I just did a search and pulled up this thread because I, also, was wondering what size a mug rug should be. I am having a BLAH day... just can't get going and there is so much that I should be doing. So, I decided to take a nap and forget all the house and make a mug rug... my first, for a friend that just had her first grandchild. I really have no idea what I am doing and I'm just going to let it evolve! If, at the end, I don't like it... I'll just start over! I'm using very pretty scrap strips that I found at a thrift shop, years ago. They are colors that I think my friend will like and very good quality fabrics.

Chele... your little mug rug is adorable!!
Does anyone here belong to the mug rug group on Flickr? I love Flickr!!

Very cute idea. I'd never heard of a mug rug that held the cookie too. Now I've got to make some!
