Buckeye Rose

Unfortunately, I do not have central air conditioning and right now the temp and humidity are both pretty high, making the quilt I am trying to FMQ stick on the table (machine sits down in table). I certainly can't get the smooth stitching lines I normally get. Does anyone have a suggestion to make things easier....and preferably something cheap!

Not gonna lie, I've switched to hand applique until things cool off a little. Not really helpful but I do feel your pain!

Oh .. in this humidity... I would postpone if possible. I do have a slider for free motion , but find my hands sweat so bad in the humidity it really made the whole process too uncomfortable, and the skin on my hands was getting irritated.

​I am assuming you have already tried a good coat of paste wax or pledge to make the table surface more slippery?

The silicone spray is FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just make sure it's safe for fabrics, not all of them are.

Time to get some lemonade, a comfy chair and a good book and take all out into the shade. Sit yourself down and relax. (And if you drift off into a nap all the better!) No use to fighting hot and humid.
