I do think that some of the ones that are not too bad go to charities like QHK's. When I got the kit from them for the quilt I made, the one print was off...the color was out of the black lines. I had seen the material at someplace else, correctly printed. I believe that I also read somewhere about this being the case, but can't find it right now. Oh, and there is a Surplus Outlet near me that carries lots of great fabrics, but I do know that when I tried to buy some coordinating fabric for a quilt that I wanted to make, the words that were printed on it were all backwards! Too bad, cause it was nice quality fabric.

Marden's in Maine maybe. They have a lot of fabric there - super prices. You do have to watch for quality. I know of another place in Oxford Maine that advertises itself as a Mill End Store. Also I think I know of an Ebay seller that buys from the manufacturers.
