Help Needed - Applique Points
#3
I am not sure that I understand the question, but here goes. If you are doing needle turned, and you get to the tip of the star, fold the tip in before you attempt to turn under the sides. That way, your raw edge will be concealed and have no chance of raveling. I hope that I have helped!

Thanks - but a further question - I have trimmed the seam allowance at the point, but find that turning under both sides of the point results in a 'fat' point which doesn't lay nicely. Is there a trick to turning under the point before you turn under the two sides?

I was taught NEVER to start ANY appliqued piece at the end, this would include the tip of the point. Alway start in the middle and work your way around. Complete one side of the point and the other will follow. Using Fray Check wil stop the fraying Hope this helps. GiGi :D
