Here's a PFD of the block from EQ. There's an extra 1/16" that makes the difference. If it was me I'd be paper piecing the block, just because it's so precise. If you need a PDF of that let me know.

Paper piecing pattern for block

I put together a paper piecing pattern for this block. It will print on four pages and need some cutting and pasting. Instead of doing that, I print the first page four times - this will print four copies of the corners without any need to cut and paste. The center strip will still need to be cut and pasted or, since it's such an easy piece, you can just piece it conventionally.

I'm at work but I think if one of the EQ7 users out there check they'll find it in the library. I think it is a bear paw but the block has a different name but can't remember what.
