I want to make a couple of "I Spy" quilts. I never made a quilt with themed fabrics before but I've been collecting backyard animals and assorted candy and chocolate squares. They were planned as children's quilts but I believe the sweeties will have to be MINE. I found a hot chocolate print today at the Sew Chic anniversary sale in Fairmont, WV that begs to be sash or border.

I'd actually like to make one of the many projects I have started, designed, planned and shopped for. I'm afraid it may turn out I like the idea of quilting more than the actual process. Too soon to tell. :?

I have an Argyle design I need to get done for my DGD and a flannel one just for us to curl up with this winter - gets cold in Wisconsin! I also have some fall table runners I need to get done for fall craft fairs.

A quilt called "Portuguese Tiles" by M'Liss Rae Hawley. It is for my Mother's birthday which is at the end of October....I have the fabric, but haven't even washed it yet. The big problem is I have no time to myself just now, my step-Dad died suddenly on the 2nd of this month, which was a very sad time...there was the funeral on the 13th and other very major family dramas/disasters....My sister and I are in constant contact and neither of us are spending any time at our homes whilst we support and help Mum as well as taking care of some other family business. As I type, my brilliant husband is off to Mum's to fix a gushing tap (she lives 40 mins away)....I haven't been by the QB for ages and can't even do a bit of hand-work in the evenings. I only got a chance to visit today as I needed to do some computer maintenance whilst my washing cycle was on. Miss you quilters heaps.....wish me luck on my quest for quilt start....yet alone completion!

I've started a scrappy Night and Day by Eleanor Burns (no, directions for scrappy are not in the book so I had to figure them out but will share if you PM me...) and I want to get the top finished by the end of the year. All batiks, about 1/2 of the strips are done and still need to buy more for the other 1/2 of the quilt.....

I have a giant (actually two pieced) wilderness quilt, Rustle Russell (story quilt), Family Challenge quilt, McKenna Ryan's KaBloom, and Toni Whitney's Flo Flo. With a couple of weeks off in January, I want them ready for 8 to 10 hours per day of satin stitching. It's all in the preparation!!
