Fons and Porter

Although, to be honest, I get what I can in the library bookstore.

I subscribed to Fon's and Porter's for a bit, but I am a faithful subscriber to Quiltmaker. I too go to the store and look at the other ones to see if I want to make any of the quilts in there and then purchase them if I do. (Too many quilts to make and not enough time still doesn't deter me from buying those magazines and dreaming about someday...)

On a slightly different note, there are two magazines I don't see on the newsstand anymore. I was wondering if they are gone... Miniature Quilts and The Foundation Piecer. Anyone know what happened to these two?

Harry,
I was going to suggest "Alex and Ricky's" New Magazine 'Quilt Life'...but after going to your Web site I see that you already know about them and I assume also "The Quilt Show" I am a member and you have to pay to be a member, so maybe advertising on their web site might be of benefit to you. I believe it is one of the largest member quilting sites on the internet (except for this one). Just my ideas for you :-) Julie

Also get some business cards made up and start going around to the quilt guild meetings for demonstrations, quilt shops, fabric shops in your area

You might want to start setting up a booth at the quilt shows. Have you thought of a booth at the county fairs coming up to get your name out and to get orders.

Also contact the fair offices as they also have workshops at some of them that you could set up a booth. Every year I go to a Home Extension office workshop, speakers, quilt shop vendors and is fun

I used to subscribe to several magazines and realized I was getting the most/best ideas from the web, even just the free sites. Maybe you could consider online advertising instead of print. It's the wave of the future and a lot easier to do; longer-lasting, too.
