Seems like I lean towards King and Queen size quilts (which take longer to complete). I want one that is bed size rather than the smaller ones. I have made table runner with applique, small art quilt and numerous patriotic table toppers.

I would have to agree with you, I mostly make king/queen size quilts and the odd large lap/baby quilt. I have never been able to get intersested in the tablerunners, bags or wallhangings, although the board members do show some really fabulous ones. I just think that anything I make should have a solid purpose, not as a decoration, but, that is just my opinion. But, then again, I stay away from knick knacks and other dust collectors too... LOL.

I make oversized lap quilts. Since I tend to give most of my quilts away, I want my loved ones to USE them to death. Lap quilts can be used on the couch, on the floor, in the car, at a picnic, at the cool evening ball game, and thrown on the bed as an extra cover. My niece said she takes hers everywhere she goes. I'd rather them have a quilt they can drag around and love than one that just lays on a bed and looks pretty and never gets used.

However, I do tell them, as I hand them the quilt, that I have only one request - don't let me see being used in the dog bed or as a floor cover when changing the oil in their car LOL!

I have been making the same queen size maple leaf for three years. It's beautiful and I'm fmq onmy bernina but it just takes forever and forever and i have been making lap and baby since then. I need to get my maple leaf done- I planned it around my newly decorated bedroom of which if I don't hurry the heck up I'll get bored with that too and redo it and then the quilt won't match!

mostly queens- some twins- kings are special order only--and i don't know why--they go much faster- seems like (instant gratification) would be a good thing--but i really have to (force) myself to make a runner- or anything smaller than a twin.

I like doing baby quilts through queen size. I prefer the baby and lap size b/c they are faster to quilt.

I don't know what size you would call it but I favor 6' by 7' quilts. Also table toppers about 40" x 40".
