I get caught up in so many classes and ideas from you gals. That's why I have so many WIP I guess. I really like anything El Burns does and The One Block Wonder books are my favorites too.

Traditions with a Twist is a good book for beginners. Basically "Trip around the World" patterns with different variations, Boston Common, etc. Good strip piecing quilts. I've made many.......

I have so many that I love. Hmmmm, my newest favorite is Jelly Roll Quilts by Pam and Nicky Lintott. I bought it at Borders and fell in love with the really neat way to use jelly rolls. I'm cutting out two right now.

I just bought Bonnie Hunt's book, "Scraps and Shirttails". You can get it on her website, Quiltville.com.

I'm like you Cathie, I love every book that I get. I have so many now that I wouldn't be able to pick out a favorite.

I have several favorites: "Quick and Easy Scrap Quilts? a Leisure Arts book edited by Patricia Wilens. Debbie Caffrey has several great books--"Open a Can of Worms" , "Shape Up Your Fat Quarters". Joen Wolfrom--"The Visual Dance" is a wonderful reference for creating and designing--like taking an art workshop.

While not always the easiest patterns, the directions are great and the results fantasic, therefore I like Judy Martin books/patterns. There are so many I like I know I will never get them all done. Her book on Log Cabin variations is great and most are not that hard but look-out the results are out of this world.,

I LOVE Applique! But my most favorite book I go back to time and time again is Carrie Hall Blocks by Bettina Havig
