Last November I bought Bonnie K. Hunter's book LEADEERS & ENDERs after attending one of her lectures. Bonnie is the queen of SCRAPPY QUILTS. She so inspired me that i re-organized my stash and have completed 3 quilt tops. I just finished hand quilting the first one and now on to the rest. Her philososphy and pattern ideas are awesome. Take a look at her blog at Quiltville. com. Honestly I am not a relative just a great fan of hers

Though I have bought lots of books over the years, I go back to a couple of goodies to get new inspiration time and time again.
Try "Calico and Beyond: The Use of Patterned Fabric in Quilts"
by Roberta Horton . The focus is on using more challenging fabric types and colors. It really pushed me beyond straight traditional quilts (which I love and feel deeply connected to) without leaving traditional blocks behind. The book also introduces exercises for Asian and African-American style quilts.
If I had to only keep a dozen books this would be in my top 3!

I just bought Skillbuilder Mastery and Skillbuilder Companion from

They might be skinny books but there's a ton of info and quilting design ideas.

I have to add that my personal quilt library is getting as big as my fabric stash. =) Please tell me I'm not alone in that....

Crazy Curves continues by Elsa's Back Porch. Very inspiring to do something different.
