I plan to finish the downy quilts I have started and hopefully quilt a few tops. I'll piece new tops in the meantime, I'm sure.

Nothing themed here. I'm not a "theme-y" kind of decorator. A Christmas tree, stockings and some lights are the only kind of "holiday" decor that ever goes up in my house. I have 6 quilts definitely planned for the next year, 1 more that I may or may not be doing as a commissioned quilt, and tentative plans for another, but nothing solid. I do plan to make stockings for my family in 2011, though.

I will be making a couple of quilted guitar straps for my brother's birthday at the end of January. And have a couple of art quilts I need to finish.

I'll answer that..so you'll do it all wrong and get mad at yourself. So what? Then you'll take it apart, look at it and then put it together correctly and be proud of yourself. It may take more than one time, but WE LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES. Keep reminding yourself about that, we learn and then go on.

Share with us when you do get them made, I know they will be in good taste and nicely finished.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. Maybe I will only have to sew them once. (fingers crossed).

Well, a friend of my daughter's has asked me to make a couple of small quilts for her two boys out of their old and outgrown baby clothes. Do you know how hard it is to cut up baby clothes? I keep looking at some of the small jeans and pants and thinking, Oh, what a shame. Some other little girl or boy could be getting good use out of these. But they are not mine to give away so I guess I will be cutting them up. I will probably just make a crazy quilt with them. I hope she likes it.

Hey I feel the same way!! For the first time I'm alone all day today, I hate it! My daughters are home with their familys because of the weather. I've already been here about 8 times off and on today looking to see who else is on and to have somthing to do.

You will do fine with the roman shades. They are really quite simple. Just take one step at the time. Enjoy the process, you will definitely enjoy the results. Just measure carefully and cut accurately. Good luck and post pics when you finish them.

My DD's birthday is on Valentine's Day so I'm going to make something for her. Haven't made up my mind yet what it will be :)

Betty, I feel the same way as I too don't know anyone who quilts and sews, anymore so it is so nice to come {here}! And those tube pillowcases are such fun to make and sew up in a jiff. Have fun...
