Are you saying you're just not getting that attic window illusion of depth? I wonder if you need more than one block to accomplish that? I've never worked with that block, so I can't speak from experience. Otherwise, it works well with the quilt. I really like the overall effect.

What is wrong with my attic window is that I mitered the wrong corners. I should have the corners where the two different colors come together mitered, and instead, for some foggy reason, LOL, I mitered the corners that have the matching fabric. My miters hardly show at all, and I totally lost that illusion of the light and shadow coming together in the corners.

Oh, man, the fog is with me lately. Yesterday I sewed the borders of this beach quilt to the Calendar Quilt I am making for a wedding gift. LOL. Now I reallyyyyyyy get to play with my frogger, not that it ever goes unattended for long.

Guess I am blind..I can't see any mistakes...don't know what I am missing. Perhaps it's because I do not know the pattern..By the way..What is froggin'?

It sure escapes me, I see nothing wrong with it and your explanation doesn;t help me see it. I guess its a good thing I didn't make it. I usually see this pattern with darker frames around the 'window pane'.

It is a phrase that many quilters use for seam ripper... ripit...ripit...kind of like a frog. :-) I prefer calling mine Jack...for Jack the ripper. Now...I hope I am right. :-)
