Right now I am into jellyrolls. I need fast backgrounds for my applique. I cut them and string them as they all go together so well or I use them in log cabins. When necessary I will get a layer cake to "go with" the jellyroll.

For me it depends on what I'm planning on doing.... lately I've been getting FQ bundles.... but for patchwork bags or clothing I will use lots of jelly rolls or honeybuns (will a few larger pieces to finish item where precuts are too small).

I probably have boughten more of the fat quarter packs or charm squares than any thing else. Love Moda!

I usually can't aford the fat quarters so I like the charm packs. It is a good way for me to see if I like the faric all together and then I buy yardage of the ones that I like the best.

FQ bundle if I can afford it, but usually buy layer cakes. Have used the charm packs but like the versatility of the bigger squares.

I've got a quilt in the works using a FQ bundle, and would do it again, but I'm addicted to the charm packs. I found that even for my big quilt project, that I pulled bits of the charm packs (different lines) to coordinate.

I like the charm packs and the jelly rolls because they have a coordinating collection without having to buy all different yardages.
