Your blocks look great to me. Just be careful to keep even seam allowances. I still struggle with "scant" 1/4" seams. It gets better with practice. I love your bright colorful blocks. Be sure to post a photo of the finished quilt.

They sure look a lot better than some of the ones I've done. I think they look good. Keep at it. Love the colors you have used.

YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEE, I finally did it! Not exactly sure what changes I made this time but all of my points are intact with room for a 1/4" seam. It took me a really long time to finish it because I was extra careful.

Thanks everyone for your input. I'm on to the next one!

It's great to practice to get your skills down pat but if you only put blocks in a quilt that are absolutely perfect you may give up. Just stay at it and you will get better. No one starts out perfect. Great to look back and see how much you have improved.

So glad you got it figured out. I have enjoyed all the helpful hints you've received.

A hint that works well for me...when you have to sew 1/8" seams...sew it twice...1/8" seams are prone to fray out...sewing that seam twice makes it stronger, so seldom does it fray. Beautiful blocks. I'd make your practice blocks into a donation quilt or utility quilt...don't waste them.

Can you possibly trim the blocks so there is an even seam allowance on all sides - maybe it will only be 1/8, but it will be easier to save the points if it's even on all sides.... good luck!

Congratulations! It's a great feeling, isn't it? These blocks are gorgeous, cant' wait to see the finished quilt.

I usually make one practice block. Your blocks look great.
