I buy the least amount when there are few or no sales. Just me. I need a bargain or I don't spend. I have too much to just buy more at the regular prices.

I agree with Lori S. January ad February are my low fabric months. I've been shopping and sewing and wrapping for a couple months previous and I want to do something else all together. I'll do some crocheting and then start a scrappy quilt or finish one of those UFOs. I'm starting to itch now.

Depends on my mood (not time of the month thing) but I am an emotional shopper when the mood hits the CC runs and hides

When I am overwhelmed with projects!
Still have to use the eagle fabric I bought from you....it's next in line after I finish the current quilt.

During the summer when the kids are home on vacation. All the extra money goes to having extra food in the home.

Yeah, I don't seem to have a specific time of year either. Seems I am a feast or famine buyer. I go on massive splurges then abstain for several months, then splurge again then fast again. I do tend to save splurge time for specific events like if I know I am attending a quilt show I will save up purchasing to blow on show specials. But if I stumble across a too good to pass up sale (like the recent fabric depot blowout of batiks for $5 PY) I will not hesitate to stock up. If I am on a serious buying fast I avoid temptation and won't go looking at any sites that may tempt me.

After January to about June I think. In January I may spend a bit using gift cards I've gotten as gifts, but then I'll realize how much fabric I have and how much I spent on fabric before Christmas to do gifts, and I'll resolve to use up my stash. I'll do really good until about June, and then once my resolve breaks, I'll buy like crazy, and then it will be time to start thinking about Christmas gifts again...

I teach so the beginning of the school year and the end are super busy for me. I tend not to buy much then because I can't find the time! Other than that, I buy in spurts too.
