Definately fabric, usually batiks and brights first unless I'm there looking for a specific color then I'll head to that color first - then browse everything else.

The sale corner, then the fabrics, In my closest shop I usually check out the Asian fabrics first, then the new fabrics display and then walk the rest of the isles of fabric looking for whatever might call my name.

I usually go to the desk and chat with the girls a while, tell them what I'm working on, what I'm looking for and then I look around, go to the class room see if I know anyone in there, chat with them a while, just generally catch up with people I know through quilting, but don't see all the time.

I always stop to say hi to whoever is in the shop. They have become not only a wonderful resource for quilting supplies, but great friends. Even if I don't buy a thing, I know I am welcome to spend time there.

By the way, if you head to Chattanooga anytime, the shop is called Lavender Lime Quilting.
