I am thinking of using two patterns in alternating blocks.
What are your favorite combos to make and any pics available?

i was so fortunate to be given antique embroidered blocks. there were enough for quilts for my 3 DGDs. each quilt was set with alternate blocks of a focus fabric. here is the first one i did... can't find the other pics.

I have a book Crosspatch by Pepper Cory....it is a book of blocks combined into a quilt...if you play on graph paper,(or on the computer if you have a program to do that) you could come up with similar quilts...just find 2 blocks that have similar proportions...9 patches, 16 patches, etc, and see what happens when you alternate the blocks.

oh man there are sooooooo many mush ups that you can make with different quilt blocks. and they look totally different depending on fabrics and placement.

this one is being pieced currently. it is my own mush up of two or three different blocks.

The cheap computer software Quilt Design Wizard is good for seeing different blocks togather and it is only 29 dollars.
Ive used it alot, especially to resize blocks.
The only drawback is you can only use the blocks they provide no making up your own.
