Default Paper piecing

I had directions for a helpful hint but lost the paper.
Print a separate template and cut the pieces out
Lay the cut piece on the fabric and cut
I don’t remember if you lay the face up piece on the wrong side of the fabric or the face down template on the right side of the fabric?

I use freezer paper for templates and iron it on to the back of the fabric. (it sticks to the fabric) so I must reverse the template drawing. Look on-line for paper piecing using freezer paper. Here is the one I've used for years!!

Aggie, I just had a thread last week about paper piecing. One person directed me to Mr. Domestic on Youtube. He uses freezer paper and you don't stitch through the paper. It's the fold method. I am going to try it because I'm not wild about paper piecing but love the results. I want to get better at it.
