Just like what I do, it's where I left it or put it away so I would know where it is when I need it again. lol. I'll bet if it is in your house it is in the safe place you put it. lol. Have you tried looking in any of the bags you took to class, or you plastic boxes if you take any. I am always losing stuff l Need by putting it in one of these type containers when I take stuff to quilting. I search and seldom rescue until I'm not looking for it anymore, then Bingo! there is that lost item. I am currently looking for the pattern to my monster quilt I just finished for the Fall Fair next week, don't know why I didn't put it back with the rest of my patterns. I am sure I will find it when least expected after I quit looking.

BellaBoo, I hope you find your quilt. I can only imagine how upset I would be loosing something with so many memories attached. I often do the same thing. I remember putting something in a "safe place" and it's not there the next time I look for it. When I find it, my memory comes back and I remember moving it. Hope that is what has happened to you!

Just when you stop looking it will show up! Good luck.

When all else fails here's a little rhyme we used to say when we were kids, "St. Anthony, St. Anthony come around, something is lost and can't be found." That's pronounced St. Ant knee by us Brooklyn gals.

I wish someone would tell me where the "Last Place" is.

Another way I heard the rhyme was: Tony, Tony, look around. Something's lost that must be found. But he hasn't helped me find my glasses yet!

Your pincushion must be hiding with the dark green fabric I lost last year. How can 3 yards of fabric suddenly go missing? Yep, your pincushion and my fabric are obviously up to no good.

Say "Tony, Tony hear my sound. Somtheing's lost and must be found." Picture it in your mind and where you were when you last remember seeing it. You are asking St Anthony to find it for you. It works so well for me, sometimes I just get as far as Tony, Tony. And you do not have to be Catholic to ask him, I'm not. I do feel a little guilty calling him by his nickname LOL. My children and grandchildren even ask him now, even though they thought I was nuts when I taught them the saying.

Sounds like all those odd socks that I can not for the life of me find mates to...I always blame it on the sock monster that lerks somewhere in the house never to be seen. Could it be he is tired of my house & the socks and has moved to your house to start feasting on pin cushions...???

I finally had time to read all the posts since I posted my suggestion about Tony. I wanted to see if anyone else had come up with my suggestion. Now I am afraid he will be so tied up wth this group finding stuff he will not have time for me LOL. Good luck finding all your lost things. Take care.
