I have opened every drawer and cabinet door in my house. I have emptied every thing I take to class. I have double checked the class rooms where I teach. I have even looked in the fridge and freezer. I have checked the weaving room and my guest room. I have moved every thing in my sewing on the shelves and tables. I have finally decided that I dreamed that I had this pincushion, even though I remember making it, and my students all remember seeing it last week! Okay. I have moved another pincushion to my sewing machine and have taken one off the shelf in the hall to the desk. I give up. So maybe it will come out of hiding now!

Look in your Wok.............that's where I found my lost car keys one time! Got it out to make stir fry weeks later, removed the lid, and there they were. Go figure!

Something that breakable you would have set it someplace safe.
Did you get sidetracked then set it aside?
It will show up unexpectedly someday. I have done that so many times.

Check the bag or tote you took along with you. That's where I usually find things that seem to disappear. We are so programmed to put things in a certain place that even when we don't get that far, we "remember" doing it.

Is it possible you never brought it into the house? I know the memory is sharp and clear and you're convinced but that's happened to me, too, and then I found something I'd lost either where I set it down on the porch in order to open the door or still in the car. If you've looked everywhere, then the only thing to do is look where it could not possibly be!

You might also check your mailbox and your utility room. Strange things appear on my washer or dryer sometimes. And I don't know how they get in the mailbox but I once found my hammer there.

We always say this: "St. Joseph , St. Joseph, please come around ; help me find something that can not be found!" Usually works - and I'm not even a believer in saints!
