Default Pattern ideas

I bought 1 meter each of these 8 fabric plus 2 meter of black and was planning a Drunkards Path, but have now chickened out. Any pattern ideas appreciated. I am at a loss. May need more medium, seem to be rather heavy on the dark.

Check Missouri Star Quilt Co. (MSQC) they have great patterns for various cuts.

I just watched a "Midnight Quilt Show" (Angela Walters) where she made the "Weave It Be" quilt. It's really cute and not hard, and would be great made with your fabrics.

A stained glass quilt would be fantastic, beautiful fabrics, I can’t wait to see what you choose.

I'm working to a "Walk in the City" with purples and black. Your fabrics would look gorgeous in a Walk in the City! But whatever you choose, with fabrics that pretty it will be a winner.

One of my small groups has a challenge right now. We each picked one tone-on-tone fabric we really liked and purchased enough to give everyone else in the group (5-6 people) a fat quarter. We then choose one print and up to three more fabrics that aren't neutrals, then as many neutrals as we want. The chosen tone-on-tones include some of yours: 3 purples, a red, and an orange. My print includes yellow and green as well, so quite an overlap with your fabrics.

One of the books I own, "Tessellation Quilts," has a quilt with diamond blocks and black rick-rack along the seam lines. I'm thinking I'll be doing that, as part of the challenge is to try something new, and I've not worked with diamond blocks before. The effect is somewhat like stained glass.

I look forward to seeing what you decide to do!

well I am wondering if you just got scared of the drunkards path blocks because of the curves? Have you tried the Mini Quick Curve ruler? That ruler makes drunkards path blocks and they go together so easily. You may want to look it up. That is how I have been making my drunkards path blocks and there is no pinning or anything.
