Just wanted to say thanks again to you all, but especially wanted to say thank you to 3 board members that volunteered to do quilts. Amazing kindness of strangers. I made this my primary celebration of christmas and it is truly joyous to think you could bring such joy to children. Merry Christmas to you all.

For a quick one, you could even let your strips vary from 4" to say 6". If you cut your backing, then place your batting on top and start with your strip in the center, you could probably lmachine quilt at same time--flip and sew method and skip the borders in favor of a binding. As long as they're colorful and soft, kids will love. I'll bet there's a better way I could have said that! Your six inch strip might be a fun focus fabric, animals or birds, teddy bears or whatever!

Wow, I'm so impressed with all those you did! Your daughter knew you were Santa Claus.

Here's the last one from Linda and I wanted to keep it, because it is so cool. I did not have time to get a picture of the back, but it was a very large vintage print of ladies and it was great.

On Thursday all of the quilts were delivered and all of these children were thrilled with them. Even the 15 year old boy was all cuddled up with his plaid/stripped brushed cotton quilt. I have to say this was a better way to feel the spirit of christmas. Yesterday and last night I put out a few decorations, because today I will cook a big Christmas dinner for family. Baked pies yesterday so pretty well organized.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL
