I'm not sure, but I think my friend Cindi has one on her longarm frame.

I have a couple of small plastic ones that I use with my embroidery machine. One came in a Placement Kit and the other I got at the dealer I bought my machines from. With the plastic you have to be very careful how you store them because they bend easy.

I get the feeling this would be one more ruler I can find in my sewing room

Also have a 36" center Omnigrid ruler. I received it yrs ago at Puyallup, WA Sewing Expo as a 'hand out' for taking a class.

I have used both. The centering saves me calculating and figuring.
Thanks for sharing this. I may have to buy one tape and one ruler. I think they would both help me when i'm trying to square up.

I had never heard of center ruler, but think it is neet... could probably be made fairly easily, too

Default Centering Ruler

I have one. I used it mostly when working in Graphic Design
where every segment had to be perfectly aligned before going to print.

That is one very cool tool. I drive myself crazy when I need to center something.

Thanks for the link. I just ordered one for my husband for Christmas. I don't know if I'd ever borrow it for quilting, but who knows!

Why can't we just make our own "center tape"? Take a 120" tape measure and mark the 60" mark with a permanent marker and they you have it! I also have a 15" clear plastic ruler that I have done the same thing with. Works like a charm every time!
