There are numerous pictures and links in the previous four pages of posts in this thread, with a lot of very useful information from some amazing whole cloth quilters.

Hi. Just a thought in case no one has mentioned. A whole cloth quilt starts when you buy a top,yes there are different sizes. It is usually an off white with the design printed, (blue) on it. All you have to do is put it in the frames as usual and quilt over the design and we like to do tiny even stitches. Mine are like yours, I try but the whole thing is you improve as you quilt. I have helped a lady quilt hers and it won a prize ribbon in our local quilt show. So if you are a bit timid about this maybe you can start with a smaller size. Best of luck.

It's entirely possible that the product you want is no longer in production. This thread is several years old.

You can do a google search for "wholecloth quilt patterns" and several sites will come up. Maybe you'll find something you like.

I've done one whole cloth quilt, queen size. I did it on a PVC pipe frame and at the time quite enjoyed the process. Now, for some reason I just can't get into hand-quilting.
I gave that quilt to a couple as a wedding gift and they promptly divorced a year later! It took longer to make the quilt than their marriage lasted.....

Ugh that must have been frustrating and quite a let-down....

Borntohandquilt, this is a very pretty print! Was it something prestamped, or did you do this yourself? I am wanting to do a wholecloth, and I think this is something I can handle! Beautiful!

Missouri Star Quilt Company has some preprinted whole cloth quilt tops in pillow, crib, and bed sizes, if someone wants to try it before designing and marking the top themselves.
