If you are looking for solid color whole cloth quilts I would try the Stencil Company. I always hit their booth if I go to a quilt show. If you just want to handquilt a whole cloth I would echo the person who mentioned Walmart. I recently purchased quilt fabric there that looked like piecework. I just added some plain borders to make it bigger than the widith of the fabric and handquilted around all of the printed pieces. It turned out great and only another experienced quilter might spot that it was not a pieced and then quilted item. Since piecing is not my strong suit and handquilting is I am thrilled that there is such fabric available.
The kits for wholecloth premarked quilts do vary in price if the back and binding etc. are included. I am more than willing to pay. It saves me finding a back and binding of compateable weight etc.

Hi Family fun, When I started quilting, not just patchwork, I made several plain calico sandwiches,, marked up with a quilting design.I really loved quilting these --- then I have never put them together, although a good friend insisted that she would do them, and indeed did. Then in a house move the blocks she put together got lost. She nags me often about them, but the rest still rest in my ' to finish' box. I have to admit that the stitching was good, but I am no good at quilt as you go. Maybe when I am long gone someone will find them and use them. I am now past doing a wholecloth quilt, but love them, goodness me I have forgotten the name of the English quilter who produces wonderful quilts like this -- will get back to you on this. Letty.

You might want to look at this: http://cadouri-din-inima.blogspot.ro...-tutorial.html
Geta is one of our board members and is wildly talented. She has just begun this series on how to make a whole cloth quilt. Worth a look! And you can sign up for her website easily. Ideas, patterns and sales - she's got it all. And so much talent!

This site has thousands of quilting patterns: http://stores.digitechpatterns.com/StoreFront.bok. There are wholecloth patterns. Triangle patterns can be repeated to form a whole cloth.

Here's a couple of books for wholecloth:
Quilting for Show: a practical guide to successful competition quilting by Karen McTavish, published 2007 by On-Word Bound Books, includes DVD
Wholecloth Linen Quilts: Patterns and Designs by Cindy Needham, published 2007 by American Quilter's Society

JUst sounds like you're not speaking the same language.Did you call it a preprinted top,or just keep saying wholecloth?Sometimes,it's just a matter of changing how we say something and the world understands.

I drew graph lines on my fabric and drew the design I wanted on it before I sandwiched it. It was not nearly as hard as I thought it would be.
