I would be over the moon if any of my relatives asked me to help them learn to sew/quilt. What an honor to be asked. Please telll him 'thank you' for his service.

Great story... and you are a great aunt! Sounds like this young man is reaching out and you were there to grab ahold of him.

This is wonderful. I have to tell you that as I was reading this it put a smile on my face. I can see where this will keep his mind from getting bored. Have fun.

What a great idea for him as therapy. I worked in 3 different VA hospitals over a 16 year period...Busy work was always
added to therapy.....How wonderful of you to give your time and love to him in his time of need....God Bless all our military people and God Bless you.....

Wow! Wish my son would come up with something like that to do to help with his PTSD. Doing something together like that will give him opportunity to share his feelings with you in ways that wouldn't happen if you are sitting face to face with nothing else to do. Blessings to you as you help him in more ways than one!

I suffer from the same thing and quilting and going to class has been the best therapy, even my therapist says how good it has been for me so Good for You for helping him, this will be so good for him and will make you happy for helping him. I wish you both the very best.
