I like the board because I can talk to people who speak my language. I love to quilt and I love fabric. I have made friends here and learned so much! If I have a question, someone has an answer. I read the board almost everyday.

Aside from learning a lot about quilting, there doesn't seem to be anyone who is snide or mean here. Everyone's very supportive, generous with their compliments...gracious. Just a nice place to check in.

Me too!

Yet again - all of the above - this board is an excellent source and inspiration. I love the "co-operative" element...we all have something to share and learn no matter if we are newbies or old-timers. No one in my life "gets it" like the people on this QB....so I don't feel so odd when I'm here...I mean where else in the world would people go gaga over boxes of fabrics...old sewing machines and rooms or parts of rooms set aside purely for the creation of quilts - not forgetting those endless pics of "quilt inspectors" of all sizes, shapes and breeds.

I have to agree with what everyone else has said. The unconditional acceptance, willingness to extend a helping hand, or just a word of encouragement has been so heartwarming. Although many are "faceless" I've come to recognize many names, and have learned so much from this board. I have gained much confidence in my abilities, and am now willing to put myself out there. Yesterday was the first time I posted a picture, and was totally overwhelmed by all the views and positive responses! I visit at least daily, and continue to learn each time!

This is my Quilt Guild! I am in education so night activities, wearing more than one hat, family etc and there just isn't the time to commit to be a good guild member. So this is my place to interact, learn, sympathize, commiserate, get inspiration, celebrate and learn some more! Love, love, love this Board!!

As a rather new quilter I have learned so much from the board, learned about seaming, so many what to do's to avoid problems I was having, love the website references for fabric, patterns and tutorials. And I wait every morning to see the pictures of what everyone makes, I've received so much inspiration from the projects and learned alot about mixing colors. I've tried a few of the recipes that have been posted and even joined a swap - the monthly fat quarter swap that I truly enjoy. Most of all I enjoy the support I see amoung the members, especially the emotional support given to those in need. Thank you for everything you post!

I come to the board for all the reasons previously mentioned. Even though I've been a quilter and sewer for 48 years I learn something new practically every time I "check in". Love this board and have made some great on-line sewing friends and have even met some in person- most I've hit it off with. Lol
