I had to laugh at the notions and books. That was funny.
You are really lucky to have made such a good deal of a job. I would love working like that too. And ... it is only one day a week. I am lovin' that part.

I'm in Tennessee now, so no doubt the commute would be a killer... I used to live in Summerville, and before that in Ringgold. There is an awesome quilt shop just on the outskirts of Ring gold.. that's where I got my quilting bug re-activated...lol...

I worked in a quilt shop once before (about 6 years ago, when we lived in VA). I LOST money on that deal---every time I got "paid" I owed her money for all the fabric I wanted!! I hope this works out better! It may not be the "ideal job"[/quote]

I worked at JoAnns many years ago, and I kept asking if they wanted to just exchange fabric for my check...I noticed that after I quit that I had more money than when I was working 4 days a week... Enjoy your new job~

Congrats Marcia! Couldn't happen to a better person!Lori
Sure, you can be me one day a month--just not on a day that I am spending with my granddaughters!! How about the day I need to clean my house? Or do the laundry? Oh, I bet you mean one of the days I am working at the quilt shop, huh? Sure---I'd be happy to give you one of my days. :D You can even stay with me since the commute is a little far.

And thank you for the congrats, Lori-that was really sweet of you to say that.

I thought about that too! But, I figure just one day a week won't cramp my style too much.
