Does anyone know how to thread a bobbin on one of these machines? I just purchased a Singer Athena with a wind in place bobbin. I have never seen one of these.

It's easy, that's what I have, it's just like the diagram that some attached....have your thread ready to sew as usual. Open the bobbin place at bottom, move the lever over the bobbin, take your thread and loop it over the lever shown in the diagram, and press your foot to the peddle...and away you go! I love it and don't ever want to go to the top loaders!!!!

LOL - this reminded me of when my MIL gave me her Singer with the wind in place bobbin. I could not - for the life of me - figure out how to make it work. I asked MIL - but she couldn't remember either (Hey at 95 - I guess you're allowed)

Anyway - I downloaded the instructions and it took 3 of us to translate them into ... Put the bobbin in, slide the throat plate to where the arrows are pointing at each other.. make sure the wind bobbin button is pushed and wind the thread around the screw holding the needle in place... Gas it..

Yeah. I love my wind in place now...
