Wow... I really am in withdrawal...I put my machine away 2 weeks ago because I sew in the living room. So with the tree up and all the other decorations and company, it had to go. Can't wait until next week when I can set everything up again. MMMM what should I sew first. I think I did a marathon like most of you trying to get everything done for Christmas. Without this site, I might have gone insane....thank you to all of my sewing sisters. Hoping all of you have a wonderful new year.

I set my sewing machine up on the dining room table and had the same issue LOL I received a sewing calendar with different patterns and what not so I think today the kitchen will finally finish getting cleaned and my machine will come out of her bag :)

Yes, I have been so busy with holiday musts, I'm going to spend at least two hours working on two paper piece quilts today. I have all my fabric cut just need time to play.

Same here, company in the sewing room, and now we are out of town. I can't wait to get home tonight and play! It is great to have this board to ease the withdrawals....

Happy New Year to you too!
Do you have anything you can work on in the meantime? Prep work for a sewing marathon once the tree comes down? :D:D:D

Hence the benefit of hand patching and quilting.

I had to put mine away as well, so I've been working on some cross stitching. Can't wait for the kids to go back to school and husband to go back to work so I can have my sanity back and go back to quilting

If that was the case here, the tree would have been down on the 26th. I want to take ours down right now but the kids want it up for a while longer.
