Years ago I entered a block lotto at my LQS and I made two so I would have a better chance of winning. Since we were only allowed one per person I put my mom's name and phone number on one. At the end of the month my mom called me all excited and said SHE won the blocks and could I put them together for her into a quilt. LOL. Of course I put it together and quilted it for her. When I visit her and see the quilt I still smile and remember her winning.

Seven years ago I won the blocks at my guild's block of the month raffle. I made a quilt with it using a cotton blanket for the back. I use that quilt every day. All the blocks were made by people I respect a lot for their skills. Some were not perfect, but were all made with a lot of love. Today the quilt looks used and loved and only one block is falling apart, but is the quilt I have loved the most.

Enjoy your blocks and show us what you make with it.

Maria
