I'm making a handprint quilt with my daughter's preschool class. Did all the cute little handprints today with fabric paint on white muslin - so sweet! Anyhow, I plan to make them into wonky log cabin blocks with generous borders/sashing/logs whatever of the cute "make life" fabric by moda (imprinted with various "make life xxx" phrases), inspired by a pic I found on flickr. I ordered the fabric - gray/brown text on white. Then today I realized it comes in a multicolored version - even better looking! But that would mean buying 2 more yards, and my DH is sure to think I'm nuts! Would you buy the second colorway?

Yes!!! You'll use the other for something else, and if not, you can share with someone else or you could sell it on eBay.

I'd buy three yards just to be safe!

I'm assuming this is a rhetorical question.

Better question - why wouldn't you buy it? You like it better, so will be happier with the finished quilt.
