I like #2, it picks up on the small cooler colored spots in your batik strips.

I like #1, it seems to blend better with the other fabrics. The other option just doesn't blend.

I like #1, not too fond of white anymore.

I usually pretend there is no background when I make my fabric selections. I really do not like white on white (frequently chosen by others as the background color), so I choose blocks without an obvious background.

I like the warmer look of the 1st one but the 2nd one makes your batiks really pop. So I'm sitting on the fence on this. Depends on the look you want to get I think.

I like them both... I think it depends on what colors you want to pop. 1 appears to bring out the red and yellow tones while #2 brings out the blues and greens but not as boldly

Suzette316 has it right....depends on what you want to emphasize. I personally like the bottom one, which appears blue on my screen!

I would do the #1. I would like the #2 if I don't see the #1. Lovely colors.

#2 is my favorit. with 1 the blues in the pinwheels look out of place to me since they are the only cool colours but with the cool background they look better and it pops the rest of the colours as well

Me I like the white. It makes the other fabrics stand out. I see most others like the yellow I guess it depends on the look you are going for.

#1 the white is to bright for this pattern and colors.

I like #1 the best for comfort and #2 for the contrast and pop. So both would work.
Quilting is an addiction that you can be proud of and enjoy.

When I hear "tradewinds" I think of a tiny island in the ocean, so the light blue fabric seems better suited to me.
