I agree....a white border and red binding.

I would do a white border and bind it with red. I love it and red is my favorite color.

I would go with a white border (I agree with the 'floating star' look). Then just bind in red.

If you don't need additional length to your quilt, just leave it as is. With the stars being so large, a small border may look out of proportion.

I would simply bind it in red.

it looks like you've gotten some great suggestions and a lot of white border votes. If you don't need to make it any larger, you could put a 2-3 inch white border and then a darker red binding... if you want it larger, there are all kinds of options.

I would also add a small white border and bind with the red. If it is the red fabric that is in short supply you could piece the various reds in the stars. You would need to plan carefully so that you did not have problems with seams at the corner miters.

I'm "odd man out" here...
Think a black narrow border will make it pop.

I would go with a narrow white border and bind it in red. Even a couple of inches (finished) will make the stars float. If it were mine, I would want the outer points to be as crisp and clean as those in the quilt itself. You've created a very special quilt.
